Kim Sun is an independent artist living and working in Seattle, Washington. She is a native of Iowa, and attended the University of Iowa and received a BFA in metalsmithing in 2002.

Kim Sun Designs was created in 2006 after living in New Mexico, combining her passion for wearable art and the colors and culture of the southwest.

Kim Sun's art pieces are hand-crafted by hammering steel stamps into dampened leather and finished with several layers of paint, stain, and dye. All of the work is done entirely by hand, exclusively by Kim Sun.
